“The prospect of Irish reunification is the opportunity of our generation.”
This week, Grace is joined by Sinn Féin leader and TD in the Irish parliament Mary Lou McDonald.
They discuss Sinn Féin’s remarkable rise in recent years, which saw them beat both Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil in February’s general election – the first time either had been beaten in eighty years.
Also on the agenda is the response to Covid north and south in Ireland, the challenges of building a proper National Health Service across the island – and the prospect of national unification through a referendum.
