Sylvia Pankhurst was a radical suffragette with the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU) and later the Women's Suffrage Federation (WSF). She was active in a number of socialist parties including the Independent Labour, Socialist and Communist Parties, and was also a lifelong anti-imperialist.
